About

Melanie Chin is a Photographer and Designer from Singapore. Her photos and designs combine aesthetics with functionality. Balancing and combining existing ideas and methods with the new, and being constantly inspired by nature, she enjoys creating photographs and designs that capture the feeling of nature.

While pursuing her Degree in Fashion Design and Textiles in Singapore, she discovered her love for nature when she was doing a project on sustainability. She later went on to work in the production of garments in the fashion industry, where she realized a desire to connect with nature in a more meaningful way. Her textile designs often feature various forms of nature and animals.

She later found another outlet to express the beauty of nature in the form of Photography, while spending a year in Vancouver, British Columbia completing a Diploma in Photography. It was through this that she also discovered a love for Street Photography and Film Photography.
